The Cagliari 1969–70 Home Retro Football Jersey celebrates the most successful season in the history of the Sardinian club. Under manager Manlio Scopigno, Cagliari achieved the extraordinary feat of winning their first-ever Serie A championship, finishing four points ahead of Inter Milan. With 17 victories, just two defeats and only 11 goals conceded across 30 matches, the Rossoblù produced one of the most impressive title-winning campaigns in Italian football history.
The team was led by legendary striker Luigi “Gigi” Riva, whose 21 league goals earned him the Serie A top-scorer award. Alongside influential players such as captain Pierluigi Cera, Angelo Domenghini, Sergio Gori, Nenê and Comunardo Niccolai, Riva helped deliver a championship that became a defining moment in Sardinian sporting history. The title was secured on 12 April 1970 with a memorable 2–0 victory over Bari.
The home jersey embodies Cagliari's traditional red and deep navy-blue colour scheme, reflecting the club's famous Rossoblù identity.
