According to historical records, Espanyol’s earliest kits were yellow, a result of a generous club member who worked in the textile industry and donated the fabric. Contemporary accounts described the team’s outfit as a “canary uniform”, complete with a beret, famously captured in one of the earliest photos taken near the unfinished Sagrada Família.
Now, 125 years later, Espanyol pays tribute to those pioneers with a retro-style commemorative shirt in the same vibrant color scheme. The design incorporates art nouveau-inspired detailing, featuring a subtle four-leaf clover pattern and the original text of the club’s founding article from Los Deportes printed across the chest — a perfect blend of heritage and elegance.
