Racing Santander 1998–99 Away Retro Football Shirt
A distinctive Racing Santander away shirt from the 1998–99 La Liga season, produced by Austral and featuring the Caja Cantabria sponsor. The memorable black and green hooped design captures the unmistakable character of late-1990s Spanish football.
Racing finished 15th in La Liga that season, with a fascinating squad featuring several players who would go on to enjoy prominent international careers. Local favourite Pedro Munitis wore No.23 and became one of the club’s most recognisable figures, while former Real Madrid winger José Amavisca wore No.21. The squad also included young Swedish defender Olof Mellberg (No.5) and Víctor Sánchez (No.18), who led Racing’s league scoring with 12 goals.
