The Tricolore was the official match ball of the 1998 FIFA World Cup in France. Inspired by the French tricolour flag and the national symbol, the cockerel, it was the first multi-coloured ball ever used in a World Cup final stage. It was also the last World Cup ball to feature the classic Tango design, first introduced in 1978.
The blue triads with cockerel motifs represent the colours of France’s flag, combining tradition with innovation. The Tricolore was also notable as the first World Cup ball produced outside Europe, with manufacturing taking place in Pakistan, Morocco, and Indonesia. The name “Tricolore” means “three-coloured” in French, symbolizing national pride and elegance.
- The new football is deflated during transportation. After inflating it upon arrival, you may notice some surface wrinkles — this is completely normal and does not affect normal use. The wrinkles will gradually disappear over time.

1️⃣ About Inflation
Before inflating, moisten the needle with water or lubricant. (For first-time use, inflate the ball according to the instructions.)
Avoid using inappropriate pumps or overinflation, which may damage the valve or inner bladder.2️⃣ About Playing Surface
It is recommended to use the ball on artificial turf or natural grass.
Avoid hard or abrasive surfaces (such as concrete, asphalt, or gravel), as these can cause wear and reduce the ball’s lifespan.3️⃣ After Match Care
After each game, clean the ball gently and avoid exposure to extreme heat or pressure.
Do not place heavy objects on it to prevent deformation or damage to the outer layer.4️⃣ Daily Maintenance
For long-term storage, wipe the ball clean and deflate it slightly.
Keep it in a cool, ventilated, and shaded area.
Avoid prolonged exposure to sunlight or damp conditions, as these may cause aging or warping.
